A 60’s Inspired Bridal Look | Laura Naish

A professional makeup artist and beauty therapist, Laura Naish boasts over 15 years experience in the make-up industry and an unrivalled passion for bridal beauty.

She first discovered her zeal for makeup as a young girl, whilst playing with the makeup samples her grandmother gave her. What had initially started as curiosity finally bloomed into a passion and led to her pursuit in the creative field!

Laura transitioned into the bridal industry when friends and family began requesting her services for their weddings. Having fallen in love with the craft, and now perfected her own distinct look, Laura shares with us the secrets to creating this 60’s “Classic Twiggy” inspired bridal look!

I created this look by using two soft silver colours over the eyes; I used Bobby Brown Sparkle eye shadow in Mica and Silver Moon. A soft sweep of the liquid liner is essential in keeping a vintage flair. I also used some natural strip lashes for added volume. The brows were defined and neatened with Illamasqua Eyebrow cake, and I added a touch of highlighter on the brow bone for that extra glow.

For the flawless base I used the Kryolan Ultra Cream foundation. To add some definition to the cheeks, I used Benefit Hoola Bronzer and the peachy Dandelion Blush shade a little higher on the cheekbone.

The lips were kept soft and neutral, with one of my favourite nude shades from MAC, Velvet teddy. To keep them moist and dewy I used Dr PawPaw as a balm on top.

Winter makeup top tip: Flawless skin and a great balance of defined lips and eyes are ideal in these winter months!
