Nickie & Liam rocked a vintage beach ceremony on the south coast of England…
“As we live in Central London, we wanted something a little more peaceful for our wedding. I have always fancied a beach ceremony and we did consider marrying abroad, but realized a lot of our guests wouldn’t be able to join us. When we saw Tunnels Beaches featured online, I realized we could have our destination wedding without the travel. Tunnels Beaches was the first and only venue we visited. We knew straight away that it was where we should marry —I had tears in my eyes. It had everything we wanted: the beach, views, intimacy and originality. However, the best bit was that it was on Granville Road — my maiden name! There was very little decorating to do as the venue is already set up for the perfect beach wedding. Our florist decorated the area around where we were married to match my bouquet and it looked absolutely stunning.
I found my dress on Etsy from a woman called Carol Pincott. She is based near Bristol so I had to make a few trips from London for fittings, but it was worth the travel! Carol was able to take her original pattern from her Etsy shop and incorporated my ideas to make my very own bespoke dress.
As I wanted a boho 60’s vibe, I felt pastel colors best suited that. I wanted to go for a shabby chic theme and I did this through rounded bouquets with pink Gerberas and the bridesmaids dresses, which complemented each other wonderfully!” – Nickie
